Event Cordinator
Organize and host 4 to 5 Bar Citizen meetups each year across North Carolina, creating recurring in-person events where Star Citizen players can connect, plan future activities, and build local community momentum.

A few things I would call out
- Started by hosting the first meetup at home in 2021, then expanded the format into local bars, event spaces, and other community-friendly venues.
- Coordinate with venue owners and event staff to secure private or semi-private space sized to expected attendance.
- Use Eventbrite and Discord to manage RSVPs, improve attendance forecasting, and help other local community members learn how to run their own meetups.
01 // What was getting in the way
Local game communities often want in-person connection, but recurring meetups only work when venue coordination, attendance planning, communication, and host responsibilities are handled consistently.
02 // What I did
I built a lightweight recurring meetup model for North Carolina Bar Citizen events.
The model includes:
- sourcing local venues and coordinating directly with bar owners or event staff
- securing private or semi-private space sized to expected attendance
- managing promotion and RSVPs through Discord and Eventbrite
- sharing attendance estimates with venues before each event
- helping other local community members learn how to host meetups in their own areas

Established a repeatable local meetup program that has run since 2021 and now delivers about 4 to 5 in-person gatherings each year, giving community members a consistent place to reconnect offline and strengthen local Star Citizen activity.
