Organized a sold-out North Carolina watch party for Cloud Imperium Games' digital CitizenCon 2955, securing a discounted Alamo Drafthouse theater, coordinating ticketing and donations, sourcing giveaways, and extending the event with a post-show meetup.
01 // The Problem
A digital-first CitizenCon still needed a strong in-person community experience. To make that work locally, the event had to be affordable, clearly organized, engaging for attendees, and supported by reliable venue, ticketing, travel, and follow-up meetup logistics.
02 // Approach
I treated the watch party like a full event program, not a casual meetup.
The delivery plan covered five areas:
- venue negotiation and budget control so ticket prices stayed community friendly
- ticketing and communications operations through Eventbrite and Discord
- donation and giveaway coordination with partners, creators, and local businesses
- attendee support for travel, arrival timing, and day-of expectations
- experience extension through a post-show meetup to keep community momentum going
That operating model reduced day-of friction and made responsibilities clear for everyone involved.
03 // Outcome
Delivered a sold-out local CitizenCon experience with a cleaner attendee journey from ticket purchase through post-show meetup.
The event produced:
- reliable attendance planning and day-of execution
- stronger partner engagement across giveaways and community support
- a repeatable planning model for future local watch-party activations
